报告摘要：We develop a unifying framework for classical and quantum control, adaptive quantum metrology and both optimization and machine learning. From this unification, we determine gaps and opportunities arising from synergies between these endeavours and exploit this insight to propose methods to advance quantum control for adaptive interferometric metrology, superconducting qubits and quantum gates in ion traps.
